Eligibility Criteria for UM Social Justice Scholarship:
Applicants must:
- Hold nationality outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, or Surinam.
- Meet requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands.
- Have applied for admission to the Globalisation and Law Master’s programme for 2026–2027.
- Demonstrate proven contribution to supporting the rule of law and/or human rights through intra- or extracurricular initiatives/projects.
- Preferably not hold a Master’s degree yet.
- Be ≤35 years old on 1 September 2026.
- Have excellent academic results, with a GPA ≥ 7.5/10 or equivalent.
- Submit all required documents correctly and on time (only one submission per candidate).
Value of UM Social Justice Scholarship:
- Total value: €34,000 (includes tuition and monthly stipend)
- Breakdown of benefits:
- Living expenses: €15,925 (€1,225/month for 13 months)
- Health & liability insurance: €700
- Visa application, tuition, Pre-Academic Training costs, and ISAP first block
- Accommodation: Mandatory room provided
- Duration: 13 months (full duration of the 1-year master’s programme)
