Overview

University Of Karachi Alumni Association (UKAA) offers merit-cum-need scholarships for Intermediate, Bachelor, and Master Degree programs in the fields of Science, Pharmacy, Engineering, Medicine, and Business Administration to regular students of select colleges in Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria of UKAA Merit-Cum-Need based Scholarship:

  • The applicant's family income should not exceed Rs.80,000 monthly.
  • Students applying for Medical and Engineering institutions must have a minimum CGPA of 3.3 out of 4.0.
  • The candidate should not hold any other scholarship when receiving the award.
  • Applicant must be a regular student of the college/university listed below:
    • University of Karachi
    • NED University of Engineering and Technology (NEDUET)
    • Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS)
    • Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU)
    • Jinnah University for Women (JUW), Nazimabad
    • Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC)
    • Government Degree College for Boys, North Karachi
    • Government College for Women, 11-F, New Karachi
    • Abdullah Govt. College for Women, North Nazimabad
    • Sir Syed Govt. Girls College, Nazimabad
    • D.J. Sindh Government Science College
    • Khatoon-e-Pakistan Govt. Degree College for Women
    • Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology, Karachi Campus

Application Process:

  • If the student fits the above eligibility criteria, he/she must apply for the scholarship on the UKAA Scholarship portal.
  • During the application process, the candidate must submit the following documents:
    • A passport-size photograph.
    • Copy of applicant CNIC.
    • Copy of ID Card of Institute/ College/ University.
    • Copy of all mark sheets/transcript from Matric onward.
    • Salary Slip / Attested Income Certificate of Father’s/ Guardian’s income.
    • Undertaking (attested by BPS-17 or above officials) provided by the UKAA scholarship selection committee.
    • Bank account details.
    • In the case of RENEW applicants, the proof of the last UKAA Scholarship awarding letter should be submitted.

Note: Students who fail any time during the academic year of their studies are not eligible.
