Eligibility Criteria for Trudeau Scholarships at University of St Andrews:

Applicants must:

Be in the first or second year of a doctoral (PhD) programme at the time of application.
Be enrolled at a university in a PhD programme.
Belong to one of the following:
- Canadian citizens studying in a Canadian university,
- Canadian citizens studying abroad,
- International students studying in a Canadian university.
Conduct doctoral research in the social sciences or humanities.
Ensure the research is connected to one or more of the Foundation’s four themes:
- Human rights and dignity,
- Responsible citizenship,
- Canada and the world,
- People and their natural environment.
Demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, community engagement, and commitment to public impact as part of the Foundation’s community values.

Value of Trudeau Scholarships at University of St Andrews:

Up to CAD 50,000 per year for up to three years toward tuition and living expenses.
Up to CAD 20,000 per year for research support, travel, networking, and Foundation activities.
