Trimble Karahipi Hangarau / Technology Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington 

Trimble, a global industrial technology company focused on Construction, Agriculture, Geospatial, and Transportation, has established a scholarship at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington to support students who have shown academic excellence or overcome challenges. The scholarship is for undergraduate study in fields like Design Innovation, Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Design Technology, and Engineering, and may include mentorship and internship opportunities at Trimble’s New Zealand offices.

Eligibility Criteria of Trimble Karahipi Hangarau / Technology Scholarship:

  1. Applicants must be enrolling in their penultimate or final year at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington in a programme accredited in Design Innovation, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Design Technology, Electric & Computer System Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  2. Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens, Permanent Residents, or hold a Resident Visa.

Selection Criteria: The scholarship recipient will be selected based on academic performance, portfolio of submitted work, and, where relevant, financial need.

Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. 

Award: NZD 7,000.

Note:

  1. Applications close on 31st October, interviews will be held in November, and the successful recipient will be notified in December.
  2. The scholarship is paid in two equal instalments in Trimester 1 and Trimester 2, with recipients receiving mentoring and support from Trimble from Day One.
  3. Recipients are required to send a thank-you letter to the Donor outlining their research and progress toward graduation.
