Description:

In 1962, the Erasmus Scholarship was created by Mr. D J Riddiford to promote the study of classical languages. This scholarship is available to second-year students at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington who plan to major in Greek or Latin.

Eligibility for the Erasmus Scholarship:

  • Applicants must have completed at least one year's study, in Greek or Latin.
  • Applicants applying from other universities must supply a transcript of their results in either or both languages.

Application Process:

On the closing day, applications must be submitted online and finished by 430 p.m. Applications that are not complete or sent late won't be approved. For the application to be considered, all necessary supporting materials, including references, must be supplied by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Normally, applications begin to be accepted one month before the deadline. When the deadline approaches, be sure to check back again if the application link is not given here.
