• Be commencing or applying for a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at James Cook University (JCU).
• Have a primary or secondary supervisor based in JCU’s Discipline of Public Health.
• Have a research project related to public health, laboratory, or clinical investigations of population health.
• Ensure a significant element of the research focuses on Mackay and central Queensland.
• Meet JCU’s admission requirements for the MPhil or PhD program.
• Open to full-time and part-time students.
• Students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander are highly encouraged to apply.

• $33,500 per year stipend
• $5,000 for project expenses
