Thelander Family Scholarship

In 2023, UniSQ will offer one Thelander Family Scholarship to support a student commencing their studies in the Bachelor of Theatre, or Bachelor of Visual Arts.

Eligibility criteria -

• The applicant must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or permanent humanitarian visa holder
• They must be commencing their studies at UniSQ in the Bachelor of Theatre, or Bachelor of Visual Arts in Study Period 1 2023 (e.g., Semester 1 2023)
• They must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 study units across each academic year, for the duration of the scholarship as follows: minimum 3 study units in Study Period 1 (e.g., Semester 1); and 
• They must have a minimum of 3 study units across the remaining study periods (e.g., Semesters 2 and 3) 
• They must be enrolled on campus at UniSQ Toowoomba.

Selection criteria -

• Submit a personal statement (500 words maximum) outlining:
  • What influenced and motivated you to choose your intended study program at UniSQ
  • How do you see yourself as a future professional within your field.
  • Your involvement (past and current) within your school, school arts program, extracurricular activities, or your local community.
• Provide evidence to support claims made in your statement of your involvement within your school, school arts program, extracurricular activities or within your local community. 

Application process - 

• Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.
• The applicant must surpass all the additional requirements the University sets for admission.

Value - The scholarship will have a maximum value of $ 12,000 paid over three years.
