The USA Wardlaw Scholarship at the University of St Andrews 2026

The USA Wardlaw Scholarship is offered to incoming first-year undergraduate students from the United States studying at St Andrews. Funded by contributions from alumni and supporters, it aims to help U.S. students pursue their studies at the University. This award is part of the broader Wardlaw Scholarship scheme, created in 2004 to support academically talented students who may face financial challenges in affording their education at St Andrews.

Eligibility Criteria of The USA Wardlaw Scholarship: 

Applicants must be new students from the United States entering their first year of an undergraduate degree at St Andrews (this includes direct entry into year two but not transfers from other institutions).

Selection Criteria: Selection is based on both academic merit and demonstrated financial need.

Application Process: 

1. Applicants can apply for this scholarship through the University of St Andrews International Undergraduate Scholarships application, available in the Scholarships and Funding catalogue within the My Application portal.
2. After applying for a 2026 entry course, applicants will receive login details for the My Application portal, which may take at least two working days to process before they can submit the scholarship application.

Award: An award of GBP 10,000 towards tuition fees.

Note: This scholarship is open only to students starting the first year of their undergraduate studies, including those admitted directly into year two. It is not available to students transferring from another university.
