The Studio Pacific Architecture and Design Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington
The Studio Pacific Architecture Scholarship supports first-year students at the Wellington Faculty of Architecture and Design, Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Established in partnership with the Faculty, it aims to encourage talented students—particularly those needing financial support—to pursue studies in architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture, or design.
Eligibility Criteria of The Studio Pacific Architecture and Design Scholarship:
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Māori or Pacific descent.
Applicants must intend to enrol full-time in the first year of the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Victoria University of Wellington.
Selection Criteria:
- Applicants will be primarily assessed on their potential to succeed in a design discipline, based on academic record and submitted portfolio.
- Financial need will be considered as a secondary factor.
Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Award: NZD 5,000.
Note:
- Recipients must write a thank-you letter to the donor within one month of receiving the award and may be asked to present a summary of their project work.
- Recipients will be welcomed into the Studio Pacific whānau, with opportunities for regular studio visits to learn about Studio Pacific’s values, creative ethos, and cross-disciplinary architectural practice.
- Recipients may engage with Studio Pacific staff for mentoring and have the opportunity to apply for internship positions.
