Cammick Scholarship

The Cammick Scholarship, funded through the Graeme Cammick Property Trust, supports outstanding-performing students at the New Zealand School of Music — Te Kōkī, Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Established in memory of Graeme Cammick, it alternates between exceptional voice students and those studying other instruments or composition.

Eligibility Criteria for the Cammick Scholarship: 

  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time at the New Zealand School of Music —Te Kōkī, majoring in performance.
  • Applicants must intend to further their study overseas or at NZSM, undertake performances in New Zealand, or engage in similar academic advancement or development activities.
  • Applicants must have acceptance into the intended programme.
  • The scholarship will alternate between vocal students or other instruments and composition students.

Application Process for the Cammick Scholarship:

  • Applicants must submit an online application form by 4.30 pm on the closing date.
  • Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date for the application to be considered.
  • Applicants must submit a personal statement outlining how they meet the criteria for the scholarship.
  • Applicants must submit a detailed budget and plan on how they intend to use the funds.
  • Applicants must submit a reference highlighting their character and aptitude.
  • Recipients will be selected by the New Zealand School of Music (NZSM) Scholarships Committee following consultation with senior staff from the Voice, Composition, and relevant instruments, and with approval from the Director of the NZSM.

Award: NZD 10,000.
