Overview

The Nagoya International Scholarship recognizes campus and community engagement among international students and scholars from diverse cultures.

Eligibility Criteria for The Nagoya International Scholarship at the University of Utah 2025:

Applicants must:

  • Have completed at least two semesters of classes (virtually or in person) through the University of Utah main campus by May 2025.
  • Hold and maintain F-1 visa status for both the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
  • Intend to enroll full-time during both Fall 2025 and Spring 2026:
    • Undergraduate students: at least 12 semester credit hours
    • Graduate students: at least 9 semester credit hours or 3 thesis credits
  • Be an undergraduate or graduate student in good standing at the University of Utah.
  • Show active engagement in campus and/or community life through:
    • Student clubs
    • Service opportunities
    • Campus programs
    • Community programs or events

Students who are not eligible:

  • Students sponsored by a sponsoring agency or home country government are not eligible.
  • Student-athletes.
  • Students who have previously received the ISSS Scholarship are not eligible.
