O.R. Zeasman Memorial Award at University of Wisconsin 2026

Introduction
The O.R. Zeasman Memorial Award supports undergraduate students who are passionate about soil and water conservation. The scholarship was established through the O. R. and Gladys Zeasman Soil Sciences Fund by Gladys Zeasman in memory of her husband, Otto Zeasman, a distinguished agricultural engineering professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Otto Zeasman was known for designing soil erosion control structures that were widely adopted across the United States.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this award, students must:

• Be enrolled as an undergraduate student.
• Be studying in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS).
• Be majoring in Soil Science.
• Demonstrate an interest in soil and water conservation.

Application Process

• Students do not apply directly for this scholarship. The Department of Soil Science selects and nominates eligible students for the award.
