The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Commonwealth Scholarship at the University of East Anglia (UEA) is a fully funded scholarship package designed for high-achieving international students from specific Commonwealth countries who wish to pursue a one-year Master's degree in a development-related field.

Eligibility Criteria of The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Commonwealth Scholarship: 

  1. Applicants must be nationals or permanent residents of an eligible Commonwealth country and hold an offer for a full-time, one-year Master’s programme in the School of Global Development at UEA, while also demonstrating genuine financial need.
  2. Applicants must not be receiving any other scholarships or awards at the same time.

Application Process: The applicant must first secure an offer for one of the eligible programs and then submit a separate scholarship application form by the deadline.

Award: The scholarship has a total value of approximately GBP 39,000, covering full international tuition fees of about GBP 22,500 plus a GBP 16,500 maintenance grant for living costs, travel, and visa-related expenses. It also includes a GBP 534 warm clothing allowance.

Note: ​​The applicant cannot receive any other scholarships/awards.
