Taiwan Student Scholarship Endowment
The Taiwan Student Scholarship Endowment supports International students at San Francisco State University and students studying or planning to study abroad in Taiwan.
Eligibility criteria for the Taiwan Student Scholarship Endowment:
- Applicants must be entering or continuing students at the university.
- Applicants must be an International student at SF State with an interest in improving relations and cultural exchange between the United States and Taiwan or be enrolled in or participating in the Study Abroad Program in Taiwan, or planning to study abroad in Taiwan, with an interest in Taiwan and Taiwanese culture.
- Applicants may be pursuing any major.
- Applicants must be enrolled full-time.
Application criteria for the Taiwan Student Scholarship Endowment:
- Study Abroad applicants must submit a 200–500 word personal statement describing their interest or participation in the study of Taiwan and Taiwanese culture, along with their academic and career goals.
- International applicants must submit a 200–500 word personal statement describing their experience as an International student at SF State and their interest in improving U.S.–Taiwan relations and cultural exchange.
- Applicants must provide the name and email address of a reference provider who can speak to their personal, professional, and/or academic achievements.
- Applicants must obtain a letter of recommendation from a faculty member, colleague, mentor, or another qualified reference provider.
- Applicants must ensure the reference provider submits the letter through the Award Management/Academic Works system before the deadline.
- Applications missing the required reference letter cannot be evaluated.
