The Speedy Family Foundation Scholarship supports AUT students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Aotearoa New Zealand who may face barriers to university education. Established by the Speedy Family Foundation in partnership with Auckland University of Technology (AUT), the scholarship aims to provide financial support that enables students to succeed academically and complete their university studies.
Eligibility Criteria for the Speedy Family Foundation Scholarship at Auckland University of Technology 2026:
- Applicant must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
- Applicant must be enrolled full-time (120 points per year) in the first year of a bachelor's degree programme at AUT at the time of application.
- Applicant must be aged 17–20 years.
Application Process for the Speedy Family Foundation Scholarship at Auckland University of Technology 2026:
- Apply through the AUT online scholarship application portal.
- Submit a personal statement of up to 500 words explaining the reason for applying, how the scholarship would benefit the applicant, its expected impact, and future goals after completing the degree.
- Submit a CV of no more than two pages.
- Submit transcripts for tertiary study completed outside AUT.
- AUT academic records will be provided by the University Scholarships Office.
- Provide the name of one character referee through the application portal.
Selection Criteria:
- The University Scholarships Office will review applications and confirm eligibility.

- The scholarship is tenable for one academic year.
Conditions of Acceptance:
- Recipient must remain enrolled in at least 120 points per year.
- Studying fewer than 120 points requires exceptional circumstances and may result in a pro-rata reduction.
- The scholarship cannot normally be deferred, except for compelling circumstances.
- Suspension/leave of absence is subject to the stated exceptional-circumstances requirements.
- Appeals must be supported by the Academic Advisor and Faculty.
- The scholarship may be discontinued, with possible repayment, for unsatisfactory academic progress or breach of conditions.
