SOAS Master’s Scholarships (International) 2026:
The SOAS Master’s Scholarships (International) recognise and support high-achieving overseas applicants who are beginning eligible postgraduate taught programmes at SOAS. These scholarships are intended to help reduce the financial burden of tuition fees while enabling talented international students to pursue advanced study in the humanities, social sciences, languages, cultures, and related fields at SOAS.
Eligibility Criteria for the SOAS Master’s Scholarships (International) 2026:
- Applicant must hold an offer for a full-time Postgraduate Taught programme delivered on campus.
- Applicant must be an overseas fee-paying student.
- Applicant must hold a minimum UK Upper Second-Class (2:1) degree or international equivalent.
- Applicant must not be receiving any other SOAS scholarship or a full-fee scholarship/sponsorship from another source.
- Applicant must not be applying for an ineligible joint partnership programme.
Application Process for the SOAS Master’s Scholarships (International) 2026:
- Applicant must submit a complete online application for admission to an eligible SOAS programme by one of the relevant scholarship deadlines.
- Applicant may apply for an eligible Master’s degree or research degree, as applicable.
- Applicant must ensure that the complete admission application is submitted by the scholarship application deadline, as the scholarship panel will consider the scholarship application alongside the programme application.
- Applicant must apply for the scholarship through the SOAS admissions portal.
- Applicant must have applied for a course at SOAS to receive the login credentials required to access the admissions portal and submit the scholarship application.

The scholarship had three application rounds for the 2026/27 academic year:
- First round: 28 February 2026, 11:59 PM GMT
- Second round: 30 April 2026, 11:59 PM BST
- Third round: 30 June 2026, 11:59 PM BST
Value of the Scholarship:
- SOAS offers over 150 International Master’s Scholarships.
- Each scholarship is valued at GBP 8,000.
- The award is provided as a tuition fee waiver for new students beginning their studies in the 2026/27 academic year.
Notes:
- For two-year programmes, the scholarship covers tuition fees for the first year only.
- Applicants may accept only one scholarship or discount, and awards cannot be combined.
- Successful applicants are notified within 10 working days of the relevant deadline.
- Scholarship recipients must pay a £4,000 CAS deposit, which is refundable only in limited circumstances.
