The Newcastle University is offering Ph.D. scholarships to UK/EU and international applicants for three years in the Constructions and uses of the European past in heritage and political discourse.

Eligibility

• The applicants for Research Excellence Academy Scholarship, Newcastle University, 2017 should have a master's degree with distinction and a 2:1 honors degree or their equivalents.
• The candidates should hold degrees in the fields of sociology, history, geography, politics, heritage/museum studies, art history, cultural/media studies etc.
• The applicants should be starting their full-time Ph.D. at the university by January 2017.
• The candidates should have IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in speaking and 6.5 in writing.
• Knowledge of a European language is considered to be desirable.
