The Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Foreign Scholarship Scheme invites applications from eligible candidates for the academic year 2025–26 from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Neo‑Buddhist students for special studies abroad.

Eligibility Criteria for the Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Foreign Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Caste boys and girls for special studies abroad 2025:

Applicants must:

Be from the Scheduled Caste / Neo-Buddhist category and a resident of Maharashtra.
Hold an Unconditional Offer Letter from a foreign institution ranked within the QS Top 200 at the time of application.
Meet age limits:
- Up to 35 years for PG applicants
- Up to 40 years for PhD applicants
Have a minimum of 55% in the relevant qualifying degree as specified for PG/PhD admission.
Have a family annual taxable income not exceeding ₹8,00,000.
Not have previously received a similar overseas scholarship from any State or Central government.
Be enrolled in a full-time course, executive/part-time/short executive courses are not eligible.
Accept that no extension of course duration will be permitted under this grant.

Value of the Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Foreign Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Caste boys and girls for special studies abroad 2025:

Full tuition fee coverage paid directly to the university.
Airfare/travel allowance to and from the host country.
Living expenses/contingency allowances annually.
Other allowances

Application Process:

Applications are made through the official portal.
Applicants must submit:
- Proof of caste (caste certificate) and caste verification certificate
- Maharashtra domicile/residence certificate
- Academic mark sheets/certificates (SSC, HSC, UG degree, PG if applicable, transcripts)
- Unconditional Offer Letter from the foreign university
- English language/eligibility test scores (GRE / TOEFL / IELTS etc.)
- Family income proof for FY 2024–25 (Tahsildar/ITR/Form 16)
- Passport copy, bank passbook first page, Aadhaar, PAN, and ration card
- Statement of Purpose (SOP)
- Medical fitness certificate.
