Overview

The QUT Excellence Scholarship (Academic) is the premier scholarship offered by QUT, aimed at students with exceptional academic achievements. This scholarship program not only provides financial support but also offers additional development opportunities to enhance leadership skills and professional networks.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be starting university for the first time in 2025.
  • Applicants must be graduating Year 12 in 2025 or have graduated Year 12 in 2024 and have had no more than one gap year since graduating.
  • Applicants must have achieved a minimum unadjusted Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 98.00 or equivalent to be considered for the scholarship, noting it is a competitive process and not all applicants on an unadjusted ATAR of 98.00 or above will be made an offer.
  • Applicants must have placed QUT as your first preference on your QTAC application at the time of the main December and main January admissions offer rounds.
  • Applicants must receive a QUT offer in their first preference.

Value of the Scholarship:

  • Scholarships are valued at $30,000 each for study in any discipline or courses in the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering.
  • Scholarships are valued at $10,000 each for study in any discipline.
  • Payments are made as a study stipend after the HECS-HELP census date of each semester.

Application Process:

No separate scholarship application is required. All eligible students who complete a QTAC application with a QUT course as their first preference will be automatically considered.
