PhD Write Up Award at University of Melbourne 2026

The award is designed to support the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology Graduate Researchers enrolled in a Ph.D. program who require two to three months to write up research from their thesis or further their Ph.D. research through publications once they have submitted their thesis. The award is valued at approximately AUD 10,000 over 12 weeks.

Eligibility criteria for PhD Write Up Award at University of Melbourne 2026:

Applicants must:

• Be enrolled in a PhD program in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology
• Have submitted their thesis for examination and be awaiting results
• Have submitted the thesis within 3 years and 6 months (FTE) candidature period
• Not have received a similar award previously
• Not undertake full-time or substantial regular part-time employment (more than 0.2 FTE) during the award period
• Have the support and endorsement of their supervisors
• Commit to spending the entire award tenure in Melbourne
• Not return to their home country during the award period

• Likelihood of top-tier publications arising from the proposal
• Financial need.
