Pat Walsh Scholarship for Second Year Students at Victoria University of Wellington

This scholarship was established by Emeritus Professor Pat Walsh, who served as the Vice-Chancellor of Victoria University of Wellington from 2005 to 2014. Its purpose is to assist students who may face financial constraints that could hinder their academic pursuits.

Eligibility Criteria of Pat Walsh Scholarship for Second Year Students:

This scholarship is open to applicants who are enrolled full-time in the second year of their first undergraduate degree.

Selection Criteria: 

1. Applicants must be full-time second-year students at Victoria University of Wellington with a grade point average of B or above, and preference is given to those experiencing financial hardship.
2. The scholarship is open to both domestic and international students.

Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Award: NZD 6,000 per annum.

Note: 

1. Recipients must write a thank-you letter to the donor and can hold the scholarship for up to two years, provided they maintain a B average.
2. Recipients are encouraged, but not required, to participate in WILP or Wellington Plus programmes.
3. This is a Bi-annual scholarship.
