Overview

The Government of New South Wales offers scholarships to applicants from rural NSW for a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery degree.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The applicants should be citizens and permanent residents of Australia living in NSW.
  • The candidates should be enrolled in an Australian Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery degree in 2024.
  • The applicant should have lived in a rural location in NSW for more than 5 years within the last 10 years.
  • The candidates should intend to practice nursing or midwifery in a rural location after completing their studies.

  • The applicants should also submit an essay of 250 - 500 words.
  • The applicants must submit the following documents:
    • The letter of support.
    • Offer letter of enrolment in an undergraduate nursing or midwifery course.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded AUD 2,500 for part-time study and AUD 5,000 for full-time study.
