The Government of New South Wales is offering scholarships to applicants from rural NSW in Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery degree.
Eligibility
- The applicants for NSW Rural Undergraduate Scholarships, 2022 should be citizens and permanent residents of Australia living in NSW.
- The candidates should be enrolled in an Australian Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery degree in 2022.
- The applicant should have lived in a rural location in NSW for more than 5 years within the last 10 years.
- The candidates should be intending to practice nursing or midwifery in a rural location after completing their studies.
Documents required
- The applicants for NSW Rural Undergraduate Scholarships, 2022 should submit the official confirmation of enrollment in an undergraduate nursing or midwifery course which includes their name, course name, and year of study and a list of the subjects.
- If the enrollment is not confirmed the applicants should submit official confirmation of their application to the undergraduate degree.
- The candidates should also submit a supporting letter from a recent employer, senior teacher or high school principal, minister of religion or health professional, or an office bearer in a community.
- The applicants should also submit an essay of 250 - 500 words.
- The candidates who have not yet commenced their course should submit the essay on why they want to become a nurse or midwife and what will they contribute to the rural community.
- The applicants who are enrolled in the undergraduate degree should submit an essay on knowledge of nursing or midwifery practice they have attained.
