Eligibility for the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust Centenary Award:
Applicants must:
- Have an offer (or pending application) for a Masters/PhD in Agriculture starting 2026/2027, at an institution in the British Islands
- Hold (or expect) at least a 2:1 or first-class degree in agriculture or a related subject
- Study at least one of the following four areas as the main part of their course:
- Application of science and innovative technologies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability for UK farming businesses
- Building resilience and safeguarding the physical and mental wellbeing of those living and working in UK agriculture
- Tackling the risks of climate change while maintaining food security to improve sustainability of UK agriculture
- Identifying opportunities to support nature and biodiversity in farming and land management practices in the UK
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for UK agriculture and proven experience engaging with UK farmers
- Show potential to become a future leader within UK agriculture
- Explain how the postgraduate course supports their career aspirations.
