Merit Presidential scholarship at Texas A&M-Kingsville (First time college students)

Texas A&M-Kingsville automatically offers merit-based scholarships to at least 50% of admitted students who display exceptional scholastic achievement in high school.

Eligibility criteria for Merit Presidential scholarship at Texas A&M-Kingsville -

  • The applicants are awarded based on the average of the applicant pool as every student is rated using the same metric based on high school rank and test scores.
  • Eligible students will have a competitive academic profile – typically a total score of 1300 on the new SAT or an ACT Composite of 27, with a class rank in the top 10 percent.
  • Admitted applicants who are eligible for Presidential Scholarship will be notified via U.S. mail. 

Application process -

  •  Students do not need to complete a separate scholarship application.
  • The deadline for application process and submission of documentation is January15.

Note - 

  1. The students without a class rank can still be considered for Presidential Scholarships.
  2. Students who are unable to take the ACT/SAT test due to the ongoing pandemic or other extenuating circumstances will still be considered for the Presidential Scholarships.
  3. This scholarship is not awarded in the summer; therefore, students who are not Texas residents do not qualify to pay in-state tuition during the summer semester.

Value of the scholarship -$5,000 to $12,000 per year.
