Eligibility for the Melbourne Research Scholarship:
- Applicant must have applied for and met the entry requirements for a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne.
- Candidates should be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne.
Selection Criteria:
- Academic merit and other factors.
- Professional experience is taken into consideration.
- Candidates refereed publications and specialist medical qualifications are assessed.
Benefits:
- Full fee offset for up to two years
- A stipend of $37,000 a year (2024 full-time study rate) for up to two years for students pursuing a Master by Research degree or up to 3.5 years for doctoral students. The living allowance is indexed annually and includes limited paid sick, parental, and partner leave.
- A one-time relocation allowance of $2,000 for students moving from states or territories other than Victoria, and $3,000 for students coming from outside Australia.
