4MBS Musica Viva Sid Page Memorial Prize in Chamber Music

This scholarship was established in memory of Sidney B. Page and is funded by donations from his family, colleagues, and friends. Sidney Page served as Deputy Librarian at this University from 1966 to 1972 and as Librarian at Griffith University until 1983. He was a member of the Music Faculty Board from 1971 until he died in 1987 and a founding member of the Music Broadcasting Society of Queensland Ltd.

Eligibility criteria for the 4MBS Musica Viva Sid Page Memorial Prize in Chamber Music:

• Applicants can be of any nationality.
• Applicants must be a part of a music ensemble consisting of up to 8 students.
• The applicant must be a Current UQ student.
• The applicant must be enrolled in undergraduate, Honours, Postgraduate coursework, or Postgraduate research (HDR) in any field of study at the university.

Application Process for the 4MBS Musica Viva Sid Page Memorial Prize in Chamber Music:

• Applicants must submit an online application form stating the details of the work they propose to perform with a short bio.
• Eligible applicants will be invited to perform at the competition, where the most outstanding performance will receive the prize.

Scholarship value: Money equal to the annual income from the fund, a 4MBS broadcast of your performance, and ‘Take 3’ subscriptions to Musica Viva’s Brisbane concert series for up to 4 members of the winning ensemble.
