Mayor of Lismore Scholarship Southern Cross University 2026

Introduction: 

Lismore City Council has been supporting students who live in the Lismore Local Government area for many years by offering the Mayor of Lismore Scholarships. There are three scholarships on offer for students studying an undergraduate degree at Southern Cross University’s Lismore campus

Eligibility requirement forMayor of Lismore Scholarship at Southern Cross University:

• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident living in the Lismore Local Government area.
• Must be commencing the first year of a full-time Bachelor degree at the Lismore campus.
• Selection is based on the quality of the scholarship application responses and consideration of any disadvantage experienced by the student.

Value of the scholarship:

A AUD 5,000 For One Year award is available to support a full-time student 

Application Process:

• Find available scholarships, review their eligibility requirements, closing dates, and application details using the scholarship finder.
• When ready, open the application form, fill in your details carefully, draft your responses, and proofread before submitting. Most scholarships require only one application.
• After submission, you will receive a confirmation email. Your application will then be assessed, and merit-based scholarships may be automatically considered as part of your study application where applicable.

NOTE:

• Scholarships are available for three groups: school leavers transitioning from Year 12, general Lismore community students, and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students from the Lismore community commencing study at Southern Cross University.
• Each scholarship category supports eligible Lismore residents beginning university study at Southern Cross University.
