- Candidates applying for Marion B. Sewer Distinguished Scholarship for Undergraduates 2022 must either be citizens/nationals or permanent residents of the U.S.
- Candidates with DACA status can also apply.
- International students currently residing in the U.S on a visa are ineligible.
- Applicants must be enrolled or received acceptance for enrollment as full-time students at any two-year or four-year accredited institutions located in the U.S or its territories.

- Scholarship holders can apply for other scholarships in the following years.
