Marion B. Sewer Distinguished Scholarship for Undergraduates

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for the Marion B. Sewer Distinguished Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, permanent resident, or have DACA status.
  • Foreign nationals on a visa are not eligible.
  • Be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student at an accredited two- or four-year institution in the U.S. or U.S. territories. High school seniors are also eligible.
  • Be a current member of the ASBMB (American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology). Undergraduates and high school students can join directly, or undergraduates can join through an ASBMB Student
  • Chapter at a participating institution.
  • Declare a Biochemistry and/or Molecular Biology major, or a related discipline.
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Application Requirements

  • Applicants must submit the following materials as part of their application:
  • College major or intended major
  • List of leadership and extracurricular activities
  • List of honors and awards
  • Current GPA
  • Unofficial academic transcript
  • Demographic information
