Overview

This in-study fellowship will be given to support a candidate enrolled in the biology program at Laval University's Faculty of Science and Engineering. The candidate's research focus should be related to current government objectives in marine mammals, marine ecology, or related issues.

Eligibility criteria for Marine Ecology Scholarship:

  • Be registered full-time (12 credits or more per semester) in the 2nd cycle or 3rd cycle in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science and Engineering of Laval University at the time of submission of the file, and during the year of awarding of the scholarship (fall and winter semesters);
  • Priority will be given to projects related to marine mammals.

 Evaluation criteria :    

  • The excellence of academic record;
  • Quality and originality of the research project;
  • Quality of the presentation file.

Value of the scholarship:

One $3,000 scholarship (non-renewable at the master's level and renewable for an extra year at the doctoral level pending the submission of a condensed project report)
