Maha Sinnathamby AM Scholarship at University of Southern Queensland

The Maha Sinnathamby AM Scholarship, established in 2022 through the founding gift from Mr Maha Sinnathamby AM, will support one student commencing their first year of a bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Queensland in 2026, with a focus on students who can demonstrate entrepreneurial capabilities.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must:

  • be a domestic student currently residing in Australia.
  • be a commencing student.
  • be intending to enrol full-time at UniSQ in a bachelor's degree program in Trimester 1 2026.
  • have an income at or below the financial threshold limits.

Selection Criteria:

  • Answer each personal statement question (max 250 words each): experiences or influences driving your passion, and your career goals/impact.
  • Provide evidence of current financial circumstances.

Application Process: Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.

Award: a maximum value of AUD 8,000 to be paid over two years.
