Maha Sinnathamby AM Scholarship at University of Southern Queensland
The Maha Sinnathamby AM Scholarship, established in 2022 through the founding gift from Mr Maha Sinnathamby AM, will support one student commencing their first year of a bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Queensland in 2026, with a focus on students who can demonstrate entrepreneurial capabilities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must be a domestic student currently residing in Australia.
- The applicant must be a commencing student intending to enrol full-time in a bachelor’s degree program at UniSQ in Trimester 1 2026.
- The applicant must have an income at or below the financial threshold limits.
Selection Criteria:
- Answer each personal statement question (max 250 words each): experiences or influences driving your passion, and your career goals/impact.
- Provide evidence of current financial circumstances.
Application Process: Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.
Award: a maximum value of AUD 8,000 to be paid over two years.
Deadline: Monday 19 January 2026 at 11:59pm (AEST).

- Extra consideration will be given to applicants who can highlight their entrepreneurial plans/goals.
- If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
