Overview

Loughborough University has announced full-fee scholarships for international, full-time, taught postgraduate students who are permanently living in Africa. These will be known as the Loughborough University Graduate School Development Trust Africa Scholarships. 

Eligibility Criteria forthe  Loughborough Development Trust Africa Scholarship 2026:

  • Applicant must be permanently living in Africa.
  • Applicant must hold an offer letter of admission from the university.
  • Academic merit (normally a 1st Class Honours Degree).
  • Applicant must return to their home country on completion of the postgraduate program.
  • Applicant must commit to making a significant contribution to their home country on their return.
  • Applicants must have a full understanding of the costs involved in coming to study and live in the UK.
  • Applicant must be motivated to secure funds to cover the remainder of the costs involved.

Admission Process: 

  • The candidates must apply for the scholarship only after receiving the offer letter from the university.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be approached by the university for further processing of the application.

Value of the Scholarship:

  • The scholarships will cover 100% of the tuition fees of the postgraduate taught course for one year (replacing any Departmental or Loughborough University scholarships or bursaries you may already have been awarded).
