Introduction: 

The Lorene Robertson Writing Award supports Yukon University Access Pathways students by encouraging creative writing and sharing their experiences through written expression.

Eligibility criteria for Lorene Robertson Writing Award: 

  • Applicants must be registered full-time or part-time (minimum two courses or 6.0 credit hours) in University Access Pathways courses at Yukon University.
  • Applicants must submit a written piece of up to 600 words on the theme “Our Northern Homeland” (poetry is also eligible).
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
