Joan Mattingley and Charles Cameron Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington

The Joan Mattingley Scholarship, established from Dr. Joan Mattingley’s bequest, supports Master’s students in Chemistry and Music at Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship may include funding for domestic or international travel and aims to encourage enrolment in these programmes.

Eligibility Criteria of Joan Mattingley and Charles Cameron Scholarship:

1. Applicants must be current full-time or transferring students enrolling in a Master’s degree programme in Chemistry or Music at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington.
2. Preference may be given to applicants who have completed all, or a substantial portion of their undergraduate degree in Chemistry in the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences or in Music at Te Kōkī - the New Zealand School of Music at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington.

Selection Criteria: The scholarships are available to full-time or transferring students enrolling in a Master’s programme in Chemistry at the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences, or in a Master’s programme at Te Kōkī—the New Zealand School of Music, Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.

Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. 

Award: NZD 15,000.

Note: 

1. Up to two scholarships are awarded annually, one in Chemistry and one in Music.
2. Recipients must write a thank-you letter to the family of Joan Mattingley and Charles Cameron and provide a brief summary of their achievements during the course.
