Eligibility Criteria for J C Bose National Fellowship 2026:
Applicants must:
- Be an active scientist with outstanding research performance, evident from awards like the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize or fellowship of national science academies including engineering, agriculture, and medicine
- Be in service at the time of nomination
- Be an Indian national working in India
- Not be availing any other fellowship from any government source while holding this fellowship
- Be currently employed in a research or academic institute in India at the time of nomination
- Understand that there is no fixed application deadline for nominations
Value of J C Bose National Fellowship 2026:
- The fellowship amount is Rs. 25,000 per month in addition to regular income.
- Research grant of Rs. 15.00 lakh per annum.
- Overhead of Rs.1.00 lakh per annum to the host institute.
