Jawaharlal Nehru Scholarships for Doctoral Studies 2024

Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund offers Ph.D. scholarships in the fields of Indian History & Civilization, Sociology, Comparative Studies in Religion & Culture, Economics and Ecology & Environment.

Eligibility for Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund India Scholarships in India :

• The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund India Scholarships are open to nationals of India and other Asian countries.
• Applicants should have a first class in the Post-graduate degree with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in both graduate and postgraduate level.
• Candidates should have applied and should have been admitted to a Ph.D. degree in a recognized University/Institution in India.
• The maximum age limit for the applicants is 35 years.
• Applicants should be full-time Ph.D. Scholars.

Documents required:

• The candidates applying for Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund India Scholarships must submit a passport-size photograph and a Ph.D. registration certificate.
• The applicants should submit a 1500-word synopsis and Rs.100 Demand Draft.
• A report from a supervisor should also be submitted.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST are exempt from paying this application fee.
• PhD registration certificate
• Self-attested photocopies of certificates.

• The successful applicants of Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund India Scholarships will receive:
• Tuition fee and maintenance allowance worth Rs.18,000 per month.
• The scholarship also offers Rs.15,000 per year towards books, stationery, and study tours within India.
• The duration of the scholarship is two years.
