    For early- and mid-career researchers from various academic fields, the Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowships are an internationally competitive program designed to enhance children's and youth's growth and quality of life. Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowship funds are provided directly to the fellow's institution, and the fellow may use the funds for any activity that supports their research and to pay their salary for three years partially.

    Eligibility for Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowships at the University of Melbourne:

    • The candidate must have earned a Ph.D. or a degree comparable within the last ten years.
    • The applicant needs to work for a research institute or higher education institution;
    • The candidate must be carrying out excellent research in a field that the Jacobs Foundation is interested in.
    • The applicant must be dedicated to participating in Fellowship Network events and interacting with the Jacobs Foundation, as well as contributing to Foundation initiatives.
    • Applications are especially requested from multidisciplinary researchers who concentrate on the individual development and learning of children and youth and who want to integrate levels of analysis such as genetic, epigenetic, neurobiological, behavioral, and social.
