Izard Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington

Established in 1997 from the estate of Arnold Woodford Izard, this scholarship supports students enrolled in a Master’s by thesis in any faculty at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, excluding the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (NZSM students are eligible). It is awarded solely based on academic merit.

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must be enrolled (in the year of tenure) in a Master's degree by thesis in any faculty at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, apart from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (NZSM students are still eligible to apply).

Selection Criteria: This scholarship is awarded based on academic merit only.

Application Process: A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.

Award: NZD 2,000.

Note: 

  1. Recipients must write a letter of thanks to the donor of this scholarship.
  2. The Scholarship cannot be deferred to a later year.
