Overview

International Undergraduate Commencing Scholarship is offered by the University of Sydney for students planning to pursue their undergraduate courses at the university.

Eligibility for the International Undergraduate Commencing Scholarship:

  • Applicant must be an international student.
  • Candidate must have an unconditional offer to study a full-time undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
  • Applicants applying with credit from partner institutions are eligible if their credit does not exceed 48 credit points.

Selection criteria:

  • Academic merit as assessed from the applicant’s application for admission.
  • The Scholarship will be awarded by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences or their nominated delegate.

Value of the scholarship:

  • A recipient enrolled full-time will receive the scholarship valued at $10,000 per annum for up to 1 year.
  • A recipient enrolled part-time and approved to hold the scholarship on a part-time basis will receive the scholarship valued at $5,000 per annum for up to 2 years.
