UTS, International Research Training Program Scholarship (IRTP) 2025

The objective of The International Research Training Program Scholarship (IRTP) is to support and encourage students with excellent academic merit and who possess an outgoing personality to enroll to study at the University.

Eligibility for The International Research Training Program Scholarship (IRTP):

• Open to all nationalities.
• Applicants must meet all the program-specific requirements.
• Applicants must be undertaking a higher degree by research (HDR) as an overseas student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (Cth) at the University in the year of the IRTP Stipend (IRTP Stipends are not available to applicants whose enrollment into a postgraduate research program has not been accepted by the University) in an accredited HDR course.
• Applicants must not be receiving an equivalent award, stipend, or salary providing a benefit greater than 75% of the IRTP Scholarship stipend rate to undertake the HDR. Income earned from sources unrelated to the course of study is not subject to the 75% rule.
• Applicants must not receive an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth designed to offset HDR fees.

Value of The International Research Training Program Scholarship (IRTP):

The successful applicants of will receive the following benefits:

• Tuition Fee - Up to 3 years for PhD and 2 years for Master by Research
• Living Allowance - Up to 3 years for a Ph.D. and 2 years for a Master by Research at equivalent of RTPS rate
• Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) - single or family cover for the duration of the program
