A competitive grant of up to $1000 is offered by the Institute for Asian Studies Student Scholarship to one or two deserving full-time PSU students earning a degree who are enrolled in academic programs at Portland State or overseas with an emphasis on Asia and/or Asian language studies.
Eligibility criteria for the Institute for Asian Studies Scholarship :
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
- Applicants should be pursuing an academic program at PSU, or abroad, with a focus on Asia and/or Asian language studies.
- Applicant should be full-time enrolled or accepted for full-time enrollment at Portland State University, as a degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student.
- Applicants should submit a 2-page project summary at the completion of the Service Project.
Value of the Institute for Asian Studies Scholarship :
For the 2023–24 academic year, one or two qualifying PSU students will receive awards of up to $1,000. The length of the study program, the location, the funding, and any additional support will all affect the award amount.
