International Aerospace Womens Association (IAWA) Scholarship at Swinburne University of Technology 2026:

The International Aerospace Womens Association (IAWA) Scholarship at Swinburne University of Technology is offered by IAWA, a non-profit association with members across 38 countries, representing major companies and aviation authorities. IAWA is dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in the aviation and aerospace industries. The scholarship supports female students pursuing eligible aviation-related programmes at Swinburne and aims to encourage leadership, professional development, and continued participation in the aerospace and aviation sectors.

Eligibility Criteria for the International Aerospace Womens Association (IAWA) Scholarship at Swinburne University of Technology 2026: 

• Applicant must identify as female.
• Applicant must be an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident, an Australian permanent resident with a Humanitarian Visa, or an international student.
• Applicant must be a commencing or continuing Swinburne University student in 2026.
• Applicant must be enrolled full-time in an eligible course.
• Applicant must demonstrate leadership qualities and experience, which may include volunteering, sporting associations, part-time employment, clubs, or other activities.
• Applicant must demonstrate an interest in IAWA’s mission and its commitment to Connect, Inspire and Lead throughout their career.
• Applicant must provide evidence of academic achievement, such as an ATAR certificate or academic transcript from previous study.

• Bachelor of Aviation
• Bachelor of Aviation/Bachelor of Business
• Bachelor of Aviation Management
• Bachelor of Aviation Management/Bachelor of Business
• Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Aviation Management
• Master of Aviation 

Application Process: 

• Applicant must complete the 2026 IAWA Scholarship Application Form.
• Applicant must submit a personal statement of up to 2 pages or a short video of 1–3 minutes addressing:
  • Why IAWA’s mission and its commitment to Connect, Inspire, and Lead are important to the applicant.
  • The applicant’s leadership experiences and what they have learned from those experiences, including through clubs, employment, volunteering, or similar activities.
  • What the applicant expects to gain from being an IAWA scholarship recipient beyond financial support.
• Applicant must provide a written reference from a teacher, community leader, or employer.
• Applicant must ensure that the referee is not a family member or friend.
• Applicant must provide an ATAR certificate or academic transcript from a previous study.
• Applicant must provide samples of writing, projects, or similar work that demonstrate their technical skills and/or provide insight into their background and abilities. Examples may include previous essays, group projects, recorded speeches, or videos.
• Applicant must submit all required documents and information as part of the completed scholarship application.

Value of the Scholarship:

• The scholarship is valued at US$5,000.
• The scholarship includes one year of IAWA Scholar Membership.
• The successful recipient also receives the opportunity to attend the annual IAWA conference, with attendance fully funded by IAWA.
