Eligibility criteria for Humboldt Research Fellowship 2025:

Postdoctoral Researchers:

Have completed a doctorate within the last 4 years, or
Be within 6 months of completing the doctorate (with written summary of findings)
Have peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognised journals or publishing houses

Experienced Researchers:

Have completed a doctorate within the last 12 years
Have an extensive publication record reviewed to international standards

General Requirements (For Both Categories):

Be postdoctoral or experienced researchers with above-average academic qualifications
Be a non-German national (open to all countries excluding Germany)
Have an academic host at a German research institution
Comply with the rules of good scientific practice and scientific ethics
Not have previously received direct sponsorship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (research fellowship or award)

Benefits of Humboldt Research Fellowship 2025:

Monthly Fellowship Stipend
- Postdocs: €3,000 per month
- Experienced researchers: €3,600 per month
