Overview

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Derby is offering scholarships to international students applying for postgraduate courses starting in September 2024. The GREAT Scholarships program, launched by the British Council together with UK universities, supports postgraduate students to access world-class UK higher education opportunities.

Eligibility for the GREAT Scholarships:

  • Applicants of the GREAT Scholarships must have an offer letter for a master's course offered at the University of Derby to avail of this scholarship.
  • Applicants must be international students from China, Ghana, India, Nigeria, and Thailand.
  • Candidates must surpass the admission requirements set by the University.
  • Students should exhibit great academic skills and field experience in the proposed major to avail of this scholarship.
  • Indian nationals must be enrolled in the Big Data Analytics MSc, Cyber Security MSc, and Information Technology MSc program only.

Value of the Scholarship:

All successful applicants of GREAT Scholarships will receive £10,000 from the University.

Application:

  • Applications for the British Council GREAT scholarship should be made after you have received an offer, using the form.
  • As part of your application, applicants must include an essay of no more than 500 words about a topic you have studied previously and why you found it interesting.
