The Graduate Research School Scholarships (UQGRSS)-including the Research Training Program (RTP)-are offered by the University of Queensland (UQ) to support students undertaking research degrees

Eligibility Criteria for Graduate School Scholarships (UQGSS - International) at the University of Queensland:

  • The applicants must be nominated by an enrolling school or institute at UQ.
  • The applicants must meet all admission conditions for the relevant higher degree by research (HDR) program, as assessed by the Graduate Research School.
  • The selection considers academic performance, evidence of research capability, the quality of the proposed research project, the research environment, and the proposed advisory team.

Application Process:

  • The applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for their preferred research program. A separate scholarship application is not required.

Value of University of the Scholarship:

  • Living stipend: AUD 39,220 per annum, tax-free (2026 rate), indexed annually.
