Global Excellence Scholarship at University of Minnesota 2026

Eligibility for the Global Excellence Scholarships:

• Be an international student with F‑1 immigration status.
• Be admitted as a freshman or transfer student to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities undergraduate programme.
• Submit your admissions application by the university’s deadline.
• Maintain full‑time enrollment to retain the scholarship.
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress toward degree completion.

Application Process:

• Apply for undergraduate admission on time.
• All admitted international freshmen and transfer students are automatically considered for the scholarship; no separate application is required.

Value of the Global Excellence Scholarships:

Freshmen may receive scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 each year for up to four years. Transfer students may receive $10,000 per year for up to three years when entering the university in the fall semester. Transfer students entering in the spring semester will be considered for scholarships only on a funds-available basis.
