Eligibility Criteria for FSC Short-term Scholarship (South-South) for PhD students:

Applicants must:

  • Be PhD students conducting research relevant to the mission of the Food Security Center (FSC).

  • Have or secure research funding from their own institute, supervisor, or other sources (FSC does not provide full research funding).
  • Aim to establish interregional South-South collaborations (e.g., Africa–Latin America or Latin America–Asia), which are especially encouraged.
  • Commit to academic output, including joint publications and conference presentations.
  • Be ready to present their research at the host institute and participate in limited teaching/training activities.
  • Engage actively in the FSC alumni network.
