Fernand-Grenier Scholarship In Human Geography at Laval University 2024

The scholarship aims to support human geography education at the postsecondary level and to incentivize academic persistence.

Eligibility for Fernand-Grenier Fellowship In Human Geography:

• During the scholarship award session, the candidate must work full-time (or be considered full-time by Financial Aid for Studies) toward a master's degree in geographical sciences with a thesis.
• The candidate needs to have been accepted (first registration session) either in the fall of 2022 or in 2023.
• The program management should have received and approved the candidate's partnership proposal.

OR

• During the scholarship grant session, the candidate must work full-time toward the PhD in geographical sciences, or as determined by Financial Aid for Studies.
• The candidate needs to have been accepted (first registration session) in 2021, 2022, or 2023.
• Ensure that the program management has received and approved a collaboration strategy.

Selection Criteria:

• Relevance of the research topic in human geography (20%)
• Presentation of the project (25%)
• Expected results and potential impact of the project in the research area (20%)
• Quality of French (10%)
• Excellence in the academic record (cumulative average of the current program (15%)
• Social commitment (academic, university, and community) of the candidate (10%)
