Eligibility Criteria for ESRC Open Competition at University of Edinburgh 2025:
- Hold a conditional or unconditional offer onto a relevant PhD or 1+3 (MSc by Research + PhD) program starting September 2026.
- Ensure all necessary documents are uploaded and complete before the scholarship deadline.
- Demonstrate strong academic achievement, normally 65% or above overall at the master's level, with a distinction-level dissertation.
- Meet English language requirements: IELTS minimum 7.0 overall, with at least 6.0 in each section.
- Meet the ESRC residency requirements.
- Current Year 1 PhD students can apply at Stage 2 if not already in receipt of equivalent funding.
