Introduction:

The UBC International Scholars Program is offered by the University of British Columbia (UBC) to support international students who demonstrate leadership, exceptional contributions to their communities, outstanding academic performance, and significant financial need.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship:

  • The applicant must be an international student who will study in Canada on a Canadian study permit.
  • The applicant must be entering UBC directly from an accredited secondary school.
  • The applicant must be applying for their first undergraduate degree.
  • For the 2027 Winter session, applicants must have graduated from high school no earlier than June 2026.

Application Process:

  • All eligible candidates must be nominated by their school or non profit and submit a reference from an academic referee.
  • They must gather the required financial information, as well as notes on any extracurricular activities and awards.
