Elite Athlete Fund at the University of Bath 2026

The Elite Athlete Fund provides financial support to University of Bath student-athletes in the Breakthrough Programme who are selected for international and other eligible competitions.

Eligibility Criteria for the Elite Athlete Fund at the University of Bath 2026:

  • Applicants must be part of a Student Performance Sport Programme and/or receive a Sport Scholarship.
  • Applicants must study a minimum of 30 credits at the University of Bath.
  • Applicants must not be serving an anti-doping-related period of ineligibility.
  • Applicants must not have been found guilty of misconduct under the University's student disciplinary regulations.

Application Process for the Elite Athlete Fund at the University of Bath 2026:

  • Complete the online Elite Athlete Fund application form with supporting evidence.
  • Submit a selection letter and/or written support from a University of Bath or NGB coach.
  • Apply before attending the event.
  • Successful applicants must provide receipts, at least five competition photos, and a 150–500-word event report to claim the funding.

Value: 

  • Up to GBP 750 (75% of eligible costs) for Elite Level competitions.
  • Up to GBP 500 (50% of eligible costs) for Performance Level competitions.
  • Up to GBP 250 (25% of eligible costs) for Development Level competitions.
  • Funding covers eligible travel and accommodation costs; training, equipment, kit, and food/drink are excluded.
